today was my schools option night for seminary - i had to leave the room i was so laughing so hard at my dean's commentary - he is so closed minded its shocking. point being is that i learnt absoloutly zero about it and my lingering questions remain.

ok so my michlala interview was pretty good but very stressful!!! Rabbi Pollack interviewed and he is brilliant so very intimidating but he was really nice and started off by joking about how intimidating these interviewers can be. He didnt ask any of those weird seminary interview questions.... just basic questions that he was asking from looking at my application about my family and school- all stuff that i wanted to talk about anyway. He wanted to know why i wanted to learn in eretz yisroel, then he asked me what i was learning in chumash and told me to choose a rashi that i wanted to read so i chose one that i knew well. I read it well and totally knew what i was talking about but then he asked a ton of questions about it and getting very deep into it so i was getting a little lost and very nervous but he helped me out and i got it. Then he asked what was my favorite hebrew and english subject and asked me what i was learning in the ones i chose. He also asked if i knew what i wanted to major in in college but he didnt expect that i would know forsure. 12 girls in my grade applied and he didnt ask 2 of them to read a rashi it was weird but wtvr... the interview was at least 20 minutes and i hope that i was ok! i am really not looking forward to more interviews!! good luck e/o!!!!- FAIGY

My biggst question is thier questions - how are the interviews and applications like? what typeof questions do they ask (ive heard that they ask pretty weird ones) and what are they looking for in our answers? also the personal biography by the application - what do they want exactly?!

AM, what type of gpa's do most schools look for? and if your grades arent up to par what can you do to make up for it?

Hullo everyone! I am amazed at how quickly SeminaryGirls grew! I only started it on the 6th and now this makes it the 21st post. Okay anonymous mentor: this post is for you. Last post was all about there we want to go to sem. You offered to advise us. Rather than continue on and write it under one long post I suggest that we make seperate posts for each seminary we Hedvah girls are interested in applying to. Make sense?
