Ok bnos chava!...this school is self explainatory..its been forever popular in every place for the girls who are interested in it..you will find in every school bascailly over 5 girls applying and competing with each other to get in. The school overall is a large school atleast 130 girls..there are Pro's and Cons to a big school like that..it is on a big campus w/ a # of other schools too..so you encounter many ppl all day long.. the dorm situation are liek dorms bout id say 70 girls per building so you have ppl going up and down all day long and not much privacy since theirs no where to go if u are not in ur room or someone elses..the academic leval is pretty intense...you def. have work and reports and its an academic school def!..but it has its great repuation for years..and will continue...they have great teachers..and most girls come out loving it...even though it may be tough in the begining(but to each their own) overall it's a great school!.

can we have some more details please? like what its like on a day to day level? besides what e/o says... and also, what's w/ this privacy issue... i need my spaace!????????

Aaron said...

OK the issue w/ the privacy isint really an issue its a matter that you will find living in any dorm you are just not use to the fact that you are around girls 24/7...just think bout it in camp its more or less the same..just this is the ENTIRE yr!..just having senitiviys towards others and thier needs..or w/ ur roomates..lights on and off..ppl always in your room..studying etc....you know just the usual things

Anonymous said...

i just hope i can deal w/ that!

Aaron said...

thats what seminary is for it is a yr that you will HAVE to learn that..its gonna happen weather you like it or not..so inorder for it to go smoothly..you give what you can so you can get it back in return

Anonymous said...

Really sorry about this but you keep on saying weather when you mean whether. im not an amzing speller myself but it was getting on my nerves. thanks.

Aaron said...

your right on target..i was just trying to see if anyone was actually reading it...thanks ur my experiment for my college class

Anonymous said...

Not to worry, people are actually reading it. Or at least I am. Weird college class. Is that for psychology or english?

Anonymous said...

actually , i think that AM just made that up so she wouldnt sound stupid...but if she wasnt lying- thats really funny... waht are u going for... u wanna be a shrink or s/t?

Anonymous said...

well, i will be able to deal if i have normal roomates... speaking of which... how does it work in bc? i know that in michlala they get to pick.. but how do they decide hu rooms w/ hu in bc?

Anonymous said...

they pick 4 u. they usually put one out of towner with one out of countrier and one flatbusher

Anonymous said...

somtimes they ask u if ur quite or loud and put u w/ like minded ppl

Anonymous said...

k so basically bc is awesome. only u have to enjoy working. a lot of girls go and they dont realise that you actually have to work- but hey let me exploain something- they give you tuns of work but theres two attitudes towards it. you can either work all day and get weighed down, or you can take it in strides- dont overload yourself and enjoy erets yisroel at the same time! k so there are the nicest girls in bc. they are normal yet are very frum at the same time. everyone is bubbly and friendly and nice! the only problem is that you dont get to know everyone right away cuz of the number of girls. this school is aimed for girls who will want to come out of sem looking to marry a guy who is really shteiging away. they will seriously try to brainwash- they say so themselves- be forwarned because many times the brainwashing is rubbed off after coming home- so be honest with yourself! though i havent gone there myself- i know that many of the teachors are amazing - they came to speak at our seminary and really moved us. they have programs which connect you with the alumni so you can see first hand wat kollel life is all about. basically i hear its an amazing school. to be safe make sure you apply with friends because because of the number of girls it can be hard in the beginning- but even though there is a huge qauntity of girls- they keep up with the quality. truly, a lot of awesome girls go there. but be honest with yourself- rabbi geisler only takes the best. good luck

Who are you mesilos is the bestest? tzipora?
i think it's great that you loed mesilos yet you still have really good things to say abouit other seminaries.

Anonymous said...

not only is it an amazing seminary with amazing lessons but the hanhala are awesome dedicating themselves to the needs of each individudal.
there are tutor sign-up every week and the girls are helpful in every way making your life easy. the madrichot also try to help when they have a free moment. the em-bayit has a great amount of care in each girl - she also has girls over at all times regardless of the time.
don't want u wearing slinky skirts. they only want dark pleated skirts. but u could for sure wear them in ur apartment and maybe on tiyulim also-im not sure about that one. but also on days that u don't have school u could basically wear whatever u want- u have to be the judge about how tznius it is, they trust u with that. :)
there are some japs who make a bad name for the rest of you. But Bnos Chava is the best and you find all types and choose your friends- its a big school. It really is a great school . Everyone is nervous that it will be too hard for them before they go. But, you just do the best you can and learn tons- its not so hard! Good luck!

bnos chava: smart grls but less intense than bjj, cute girls.

Anonymous said...

then why do i feel like i dont wanna go there? it seems like its a factory with tonz of girl and they're just trying to brainwash u and to get u to think the way they do!

Aaron said...

Well if you allow yourself to let them do that, then that can be the case. You should come in well grounded knowing what you feel you personally need. Remember, it is a year for yourself so it will last, not so they can feel accomplished that they cookie cutted you at all..they want you to get out what they think is to your best.

Anonymous said...

i dont get that! so y would a/o wnat to go there if they dont think the exact way as the sem? if they do then whats the point of bc?
huh?????

Aaron said...

because that road will help them become the person they aspire to be. it helps them in the right direction and is a good influence on them. not everyone becomes brain washed in smeinary...if you go in there w/o that mind set..then you really wont..i mean of course some will just go in your head from hearing it..but you will see after you seminary yr..wheather or not you wanted to change..you will have different out look on things and sensitivities with you notcing it because its just from the sveva haaretz(the lands surroundings)

Anonymous said...

woah!!!! a lot of you are saying things just from what you have heard about bnos chava. take it from me, a bnos chava alumnus! to tell you the truth at first i was not so gungho about the whole seminary idea all together, but i wouldn't have wanted it any differently. my year in eretz yiroel was out of this world. i think that it was so great to have so many girls in one seminary for reasons such as: 1. you get to know so many more people 2. the rules of the seminary are much less stringent because af the amount of girls there (they don;t really keep tabs on your every move like in otgher seminaries) about the warmth, it is a very warm place, the teachers really take sincere interest in you and what you are are doing with your life in a very understanding way. The work is not as bad as they make it sound, although don;t think there is no work at all. i am the kind of person that likes to have a good time and not work too much. you have to make the decision if you want to be hard on yourself you cna stay in the dorm all day or you can go out have a good time and then don;t study for to long... YOU CAN NOT MAKE YOURSELF CRAZY!!!! now the brainwashing... put it this way, i would love to marry someone who will maybe learn for a year or two but i do want him to have a plan. they will tell you all different things to increase your appreciation for torah, but they will preface by saying "everyone will gain something from what i'm saying, if you didn;t want someone who will learn, maybe now you will want someone who will learn for a little bit."... my theory is if you go in with your head on straight you will come out a great person... don;t go in expecting to flip out!!! good luck to you all...

thanx bc alumnus... are u hadassah lamp. by any chance???

bnos chava...
what a sem!

some great things about it:

1) rabbi geisler - he's really amazing. i don't think i've ever met anyone like him.

2) neve campus - it's an unbelievable place to be. if you'd like, you can befriend neve girls.

3) mrs. tarshish - brilliant and wonderful speaker. some girls fo for her, others don't.

4) campus - it's a really nice one

5) hashkafah - even though it is an academic sem, it is a neve school, so there's plenty of hashkafah thrown around.

the girls are great, it's gotten less jappy then it used to be, and has all around great teachers.

the dorms are ok. if you're on an upper floor or in the basement, it'll probably be a bit quieter. :)

the foods not amazing, but not bad either.

it's a sem most people truly like.

Anonymous said...

but i want to 'love' where i go to sem!!!!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

when people say they "love" sem, they're really saying that they loved the way they themselves were when they were in sem.
i'm sayig that as a POSITIVE thing, not negative.
Bnos Chava is a great sem, and most girls LOVE the way they were that year. :)

you can love your year in any seminary, even if it's not your ideal place. you just have to choose to love the choices you make.

hatzlacha!

Anonymous said...

what i meant was....u said: "its a sem most girls truly LIKE" i dont wanna just like it!

Anonymous said...

ok, to put it in your language, BC is a sem you can truly love.
:)
i just get technical sometimes.
sorry.
:)

Anonymous said...

so mentoes... hu r u? lamp?

Anonymous said...

not telling. you can try to figure it out, but i don't think you will. you don't even know what sem i went to.
:)

Anonymous said...

ur enjoying this arent u?

Anonymous said...

yup.
grin.

Anonymous said...

hu are u? are u the same as one of the other mentors and u just have 2 names...cuz that's what i suspect!

Anonymous said...

nope.
your suspicions are incorrect.
i only post under this name.
keep guessing.
doubt you'll figure me out.
:)
:P

Anonymous said...

what makes u so sure??? i have my ways..... :p

Anonymous said...

what ways?
it's a little hard, considering i never told anyone that i post on here.
would it make a difference if you'd know who i was?

you'd probably less inclined to accept my advice, and say that i'm too one sided. :)

actually, i've given advice to many a teen and parent about seminaries, and been thanked and told that i'm right on track.

so think whatver you want.
and guess whatever you want.
i'm just trying to help.
:)

Anonymous said...

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

wow, just rereading what i wrote.
i came out sounding a bit harsh.

i'm REALLY not that serious.

:)
:P

what'd you mean with all the exclamation points?

Anonymous said...

ok, i'll be nice and give you one hint - i'm NOT mentioned in the polls.

:)

(that's gonna get you very far, right?)

Anonymous said...

thanx for the hint now ill get busy... are u a chedva girl? - just checking...

Anonymous said...

yup, a hedvah girl.

come on, would i be so mean as to make you try to guess out of all the girls in the world?

:)

Anonymous said...

were u in hedvah this past summer?

Anonymous said...

not answering that question.

sorry.

Anonymous said...

y not? what, would that give u away?

Anonymous said...

not telling anything.

if you figure it out, great.

but i'd rather you wouldn't.

would be uncomfortable for many of us. :)

Anonymous said...

y?

Anonymous said...

y is it fair that u know who we r and dont know who u r?

Anonymous said...

well, since you (almost) all post under anonymos, i don't know who all of you are.

and you DO know who i am.

you just gotta think harder.

and maybe some of you wouldn't be comfortable speaking to me in real life, but over here, it makes it easier to ask questions if you don't know who i am.

does that make any sense to you?

Anonymous said...

not really, im still confused. i dont think i know u.

Anonymous said...

well, if you went to hedvah, you do.
unless you're really spaced.

grin.

Anonymous said...

well what if ive only been in hedvah recently...would i still know u then?????????

Anonymous said...

u sure abt that?

Anonymous said...

yup.

Bnos Chava girls are generally more intellectual and worldly than girls in other seminaries, just as a general rule of thumb...
